Our service centre is in Çankaya; for panel replacement, however, we accept devices from every district of Ankara. Our customers coming from Keçiören, Yenimahalle, Etimesgut, Sincan, Mamak, Altındağ and Gölbaşı leave their devices and collect them the same day or the following day. How Is the Correct Panel Chosen?
Two notebook screens of the same size are not necessarily interchangeable. Before replacement, we check the following four things:
- Panel model: The model code written on the label on the back of the screen (e.g. N156BGA-EA3) is the determining factor; the laptop model on its own is not sufficient, as different panels may be used within the same series.
- Connection type: The eDP cable connector may be 30 pin or 40 pin. 40 pin panels are generally for touch, a high refresh rate or a high resolution; they will not connect to a 30 pin cable.
- Resolution and panel technology: HD (1366×768) TN panels are inexpensive, but their viewing angles and colour are poor. A Full HD (1920×1080) IPS panel is a visible upgrade if it can be fitted to the same chassis. On suitable models we recommend this upgrade.
- Surface and hinge type: A matte (antiglare) surface cuts reflections, while a glossy surface makes colours appear more vivid. In addition, whether the panel has mounting brackets (with hinge screw holes) or not is important for it to fit the lid.
It would not be right to quote a price before these four points are clear. When you bring the device in or send us the model code, we identify the matching panel and give you the exact price; no work is carried out without your approval.
Screen Replacement or Cable/Hinge Repair?
Not every image problem requires a panel replacement. An image that comes and goes while the lid is being opened and closed is most often caused by the eDP cable being crushed and is resolved by replacing the cable alone. Cracks starting from one corner of the screen, on the other hand, are in the panel itself and cannot be repaired. If no image appears at all, the fault may lie not in the panel but in the graphics section of the mainboard; in that case Notebook motherboard repair comes into play. Which Screen Faults Do We Fix?
Broken / Cracked Screen
Replacement of LCD/LED panels broken as a result of an impact or a fall.
Striped Image
Horizontal or vertical lines, caused by a panel or cable fault.
Dark Screen
If the screen comes on but remains dark, it is a backlight or inverter problem.
Stained Screen
Stains caused by liquid contact or pressure. This requires panel replacement.
