Frequently asked questions about pricing
Is AltunakarDesk free?
Downloading the program, accepting incoming connections to your computer and creating a personal account are free. In free use, a connection you open to another computer lasts 5 minutes; you can reconnect after a short wait. To use it without a time limit, you can get the Solo personal plan.
How do I connect to my mother's computer?
Ask your mother to download AltunakarDesk from this website and open it, then to give you the 9-digit ID and the one-time password shown on her screen. In your own program, type the ID into the Connect to another computer field, select Connect and enter the password. If no password is shared, the connection request appears on her screen for approval; she simply selects Accept.
Does the person I connect to have to pay as well?
No. The side accepting the connection pays nothing and is not subject to any time limit; they simply download and open the program. A subscription is only for the side that opens the connection.
Is AltunakarDesk secure?
Connections are end-to-end encrypted and established via servers owned by Altunakar. Your computer can only be accessed with the ID and password you share or with your on-screen approval; during the connection you see who is connected and which permissions are granted, and you can end the connection at any time by closing the window. Do not share your ID and password with people you do not know.
What is the difference between Solo and the Team and Enterprise plans?
Solo is for a single user: you connect to your own computers and to your family and friends without a time limit. Team and Enterprise are for businesses where several users connect at the same time; users are added on the My account page and phone support is included.
What is a user?
A user is a person who opens connections under your subscription. Each user opens one connection at a time and can use the plan on up to two of their computers (e.g. a home computer and a laptop). In business plans, if an employee leaves, another user is assigned in their place.
What happens when my subscription expires?
You are reminded by e-mail 30, 7 and 1 day before expiry. After expiry a 7-day grace period applies, during which the service continues. If not renewed, subscription services stop; your records are kept for 90 days and you continue where you left off when you renew.
Is there a commitment on the monthly subscription?
No. The monthly subscription can be ended at the end of any month. For annual subscriptions no refund is made after the 14-day withdrawal period; the service continues until the end of the term.
Do the prices include VAT?
Prices on this page exclude VAT; VAT at the statutory rate is shown separately on your invoice. An e-archive invoice is issued for every sale; for personal purchases the invoice is issued in your name.
Which payment methods are accepted?
You can pay by credit or debit card (secured by iyzico, 3D Secure); your subscription activates instantly. You can also pay by bank transfer. Monthly subscriptions are not charged to your card automatically; a renewal reminder is sent for each period.
